Who is your client?
Find their problem before you pitch a fix
1Pick a business
warung, laundry, toko online, SaaS…this week2Interview the owner
what went wrong last weeksession 33Assess
quotes + one numbersession 44Recommend
one deck, four partssessions 5–6A consultant earns the right to recommend by listening first. Skip step 2 and the deck is a guess.
So which business?
Pick any real business you can interview this week
- 130 minutes with the ownerFamily, a friend’s shop, the place you buy lunch.
- 2A problem you can seeLate orders, empty tables, lost customers.
- 3One number you can getFrom a notebook, a chat, a sales app.
Then: what do you ask them?
Both count
Conventional
Warung makanorders, stock, waste
Laundry kiloanlate orders, lost items
Bengkel motorqueues, repeat customers
or
Digital
Toko onlinechats, returns, ratings
Small SaaS or appsign-ups, churn
Agency or studioleads, project delays
Ask what went wrong, not what they want
- 1The owner, plus one moreA staff member or a customer.
- 2Write it word for wordWith who said it.
- 3Ask to see the recordsThat is where your number comes from.
Then what do you do with the notes?
Questions · same interview, two ways
Instead of
“Butuh aplikasi nggak?”They say yes to be polite
“Masalahnya apa aja?”You get a vague list
“Bakal dipakai nggak?”Nobody knows the future
ask
Ask
“Terakhir kali pesanan telat, kejadiannya gimana?”A real story
“Kemarin hari paling ribet, ngapain aja?”The real workflow
“Nyatetnya pakai apa? Boleh lihat?”The real data
Turn the quotes into one problem with one number
Three people, one pattern. The number tells you how big it is, and gives you a baseline for the fix.
Now, which fix?

Problem
On busy days, nobody can see which orders are due
11 of 64orders were late last week, counted from the nota book
Recommend the smallest fix that moves the number
The fix doesn’t have to be an app. A small business will try what is cheap and fast this week.
How does that become a deck?
Laundry Bu Rina · three possible fixesexample business
- Change a habitColored tag for express ordersRp 0 · 1 day
- Use their toolsWhatsApp Business labels by due date, and a “sudah jadi” templateRp 0 · 1 week
- Build newAn order-tracking appMonths · and they must learn it
Test it like session 5: fewer than 5 late orders a week after two weeks, and reply time must not get worse.
Your deck is the four parts you already know
One subheader per part, the patterns from session 6, and your interview notes in the appendix.
By when?

How is it scored?
Points come from analysis first, polish last
Each part is scored 1 to 5, then weighted. A pretty deck on a guessed problem loses most of the points.
So start with the client, today.
